Brickwood Busay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) Food: Brickwood Busay offers a solid take on California cuisine, featuring a menu filled with pizza, pasta, and standout roasted and grilled selections. The steaks, in particular, were cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. Their cocktail selection deserves praise too; the mojito was refreshingly balanced and expertly mixed. However, a small note for the kitchen: the pizza came out with a heavily burned bottom, which unfortunately left a bitter taste. It’s the only real reason I’m docking a star from an otherwise great culinary experience. With a little more attention to detail on the pizza, it could easily be a five-star spot. Location & Ambiance: Brickwood is perched just before the Temple of Leah, offering a romantic, breezy setting with beautiful city and mountain views—perfect for a date night. The setup feels like a covered terrace: open-air yet roofed, so it provides some shelter from the elements. Just keep in mind that during heavy rains, showers can still make their way in. Pro tip: Make a reservation ahead of time to score a prime table with a view. Otherwise, you may end up standing or seated away from the edge. We were lucky enough to be placed near the bonfire with a full view, which made the night even more memorable. Service: The wait staff were courteous and attentive throughout our visit. The bartender deserves special mention for crafting delicious cocktails. On the other hand, the kitchen—particularly the pizza station—was a bit rowdy. It wasn’t the usual hustle of a busy kitchen, but more like unnecessary hollering and rants that slightly disrupted the otherwise serene ambiance. Also, keep the soundtracks lofi or just plane instrumental. The music gets too loud sometimes and diners would appreciate a good conversation with their peers. Overall: Brickwood Busay delivers a great dining experience with delicious food, stunning views, and friendly service. Just a little improvement in kitchen professionalism and attention to the pizza would elevate the experience further. That said, I’d definitely return—and recommend it, especially for couples looking for a romantic dinner with a view.

The food was delicious — great Western dishes with generous servings and a stunning uphill view! The staff were attentive and welcoming, making the whole experience pleasant from start to finish. There’s also plenty of parking space. A perfect spot to unwind, enjoy good food, and take in the scenery. Would definitely be back soon!

Good food with great atmosphere. Beautiful location and views of Cebu City. Great service. Enjoyed the pizza and mashed potatoes.
